Fairs, frights and carols.

Over October half term, join us in a hunt around the peaceful yet eerily atmospheric woodland, finding a frightfully fun series of handcrafted scenes.

Alongside the Halloween Trail, romp in the spine-tingling woodland adventure playground with its nine fabulous swings, tower with corkscrew slide and double zip wire and enjoy refreshments in the Stableyard. Dogs are welcome too!

Please note that in gale force winds the woodland will close.

The house will be decorated with original, handmade decorations, with many crafted from flowers and foliage cropped and dried from the walled garden.

There will be a trail of giant, hand-carved and painted candy canes in the woodland behind the house. With 24 giant canes - one for each day of advent - hidden in the branches, will you be able to find them all?

Young visitors are particularly welcome, and can find a handmade felt snowman doll hidden in each room by the Cunliffe-Lister children. When dusk falls, Christmas cheer flourishes: with Christmas-light-strewn topiary bushes, the fireplaces glowing warmly and twinkling lights in each room.

We will be serving wood fired food, spiced hot drinks, home baked cakes and lots of other treats, and the gift shop will have beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts for sale.

Visitors can explore the Hall and its grounds at twilight, with twinkling lights around every corner. A massive, bountifully decked Christmas tree from the estate's forest is always a superb feature.

On the evening, the Driffield Middle 8 Singers will billow out festive carols in the Hall, and Simon Cunliffe-Lister will host a grand piano-led carolling singalong in the Great Hall from 8pm.

The Carriage House Cafe will serve festive fare including mulled wine and mince pies, and the Carriage House shop will be open.

An annual weekend across the whole site. Dates and line-up for the next festival are announced on the events diary; the festival is the one weekend that membership does not cover.

All festivalgoers need a ticket. Children aged from 5 to 15 years old can join us with a Child ticket. Children aged four and younger have free entry with an accompanying adult, with an Infants ticket. The order confirmation emailed to you upon ticket purchase is your Festival ticket; you will be issued with a Festival wristband on arrival.

Festival camping is in the Hall's Park Field and covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The site is set against the backdrop of Burton Agnes Hall, with panoramic views of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Camping Pitch tickets are per tent, caravan or campervan and allow you to camp on all three festival nights if you choose. The Campsite will be open from 12 noon on Friday until 12 noon on Monday.

There is plenty of space and - with panoramic views of the countryside and the Hall and its gardens; good toilets; free hot showers; a drinking water point; food outlets and our shop (in the Carriage House) - we hope that your camping experience is a happy and relaxing one. There are no electrical hook ups.

There will be a well-stocked bar with real ales, chilled wines, cocktails made to order, and soft drinks among other refreshments. There will be great food on the Food Lawn, including woodfired pizzas and ice creams, and a vintage tea tent with home baked treats, barista coffees and teas.

Charity events: Burton Agnes Hall has been entertaining guests for over 400 years and whether it's a sit down dinner, concert performance or conference meeting we can provide the perfect setting.
